Important info to the events in Bad Blumau 2019 & 2020

We have sad news. We can’t recognize the world record of Richard Jung, achieved during the Quintuple UT in Bad Blumau/Austria in July this year, because not all requirements are fulfilled.

We ask you to recognize that the event in Bad Blumau will not be a part of the IUTA series in 2020.

The event organizer, Gerald Zettl and Philipp Mayer, didn’t fulfill our contract regarding the anti-doping tests. In summary the IUTA still didn‘t get any result of the athlete’s urine tests and the event organizer informed us that they will not provide us with the results. We tried to fix the situation on our own. Our call to the Austrian national anti-doping agency revealed that the urine tests of the athletes were not sent to them by the event organizer. We don’t know what happened with the urine tests. Neither Mayer nor Zettl have responded to our written offer, i.a. to clarify this topic in a Skype Call. We asked four times! We're forced to take this step, which hurts us a lot, but we just can’t see any way to turn it into a good thing for the athletes.

We have informed Richard Jung via telephone call and by e-mail about the facts.

We'll correct the website entries on "world records", "continental records", "race records" and the "world cup ranking 2019" the next days.

The IUTA wishes you all the best for the rest of season.
